Our first film

Here at last is the first film from the Playscheme/Out of School Club. It was filmed in the summer by Hal and Aled, but because of technical difficulties is only now being put up on this blog. Watch out for other films coming soon and well done to Hal and Aled for making their film.

The photo is of me Carys. It is me with facepaint on. It is good because it is infront of you and the colours are scary.

Pictures from our Halloween Party

These are my two favourite pictures from our Halloween Party. The first one is of my friend Carys after bobbing for apples. It has a nice background and is colourful. It is interesting because she has an apple in her mouth and her hair is wet. She has to concentrate really hard to hold the apple in her mouth.

My second picture from the Halloween Party is a creepy hand with eyes. I like this because it looks scary and I had to zoom in really close. This is called an extreme close up.

I really enjoyed taking these photos.

My day at the beach

Last week I went to the beach. I had fun. I played hide and seek and I had a picnic on the beach. I had chocolate spread sandwiches. I had sweets and went diving in the sea. After the beach we went to the shop and had more sweets.

Having my ears pierced.

On Saturday I went to Claire's Accessories to have my ears pierced. I wasn't afraid and it didn't hurt. My ears didn't go red. The colour of my earrings is the colour my birth stone, for the month of July.

Like in a film

We swim here. We go to the woods with Nick+ Elen . It feels like I'm in a film.

The monkey club

we have been climbing trees. Me and Alex made this den underneath the tree in a bush, and at first we put a barrel into it to make the shape and then because the barrel wouldn't fit we had to use pliers to cut away the branches behind it. And then we pushed the barrel in and left it to go and play play station for a bit, and then we pulled the barrel out and it left a circle shaped base inside. We put a carpet in it, but it has been taken out. The den was a secret base, we have little bases in the tree. We have joined the bases together by cutting away some branches and I found a way to the far side on the top which nobody else can get to. And I have got a little base on my side. We use pine cones as weapons to make enemies run away by throwing at them, but we always miss! But they still run away.

Tomos says " Luke climbed across the tree then he got to the second den, but he dropped loads of pine cones on my head!"

Our day in the woods

With Bob Shaw we made bats out of wood. We also made a proper garden rake, baskets, broom sticks, mushrooms and whistles. We used chisels, lathe, mallets and saws. We made a den in the woods. It was really good and really big - it could fit 5 people in it.

Fantasy farm

We went on a school trip to Fantasy farm. We went on a tractor. I liked the play area and the boats. It was muddy there. We went to the shop and I bought a cup.

I went to Chester Zoo

I saw Giraffes, Monkeys, Gorillas, Snakes, anacondas, baboons, zebras, Elephants. I ate on the bus because it was raining all day.
I went on a train. I went in the shops.

There was lots of trees and I liked them.

I liked woods. We sat on a bench. We saw a frog. We had fun.

The after school club

The garden is the best thing in the after school club.
I go there on a Tuesday. I like going to the woods with Iestyn and Chloe.
I like planting with Chloe.

Mapping at the woods

Today a group of us went to the woods near Llwyn-yr-Eos school. We went and did some mapping to show where things are and Bob Shaw will be doing a labyrinth and woodwork area. We were looking at paths near a bunch of brambles and I had the idea of a tunnel. While we were discussing this we saw a big frog and Jade and Billy got over excited.

The woods by Out of School Club

Today Carys and I took some pictures of the rubbish that people have left in the woods.
In the woods there is a lot of rubbish, stones, glass, concrete, branches and garden rubbish. People need to get rid of their garden rubbish and they are putting it all over the woods. Maybe there should be a special place people can put garden rubbish in the woods and not all over the woods.
The plants in the hedge that we planted earlier this year, have grown.

What we do in the Out of school club

Recently we started planting plants, Such as sunflowers, beans, tomatoes, Candy tufts, etc. Every Tuesday we plant new plants and flowers. Also we play different sports and games, like: Football, Rounders, Tig, Hide and seek.

Here is our snack list:

Toast, Bread, Sandwiches and occasionally noodles.

Spreads:

Chocolate Spread, Jam, Butter, Margarine, Honey and Marmite.

Drinks:

Water, Smoothies or you can bring your own drink

Sometimes we go to the park, swimming, beach and woods . We go to the woods to learn about wildlife and also to make a den and sometimes bookmarks using leaves and twigs.
